During the Hajj, domestic pilgrims will receive their meals at specific times at the Holy Sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. The ministry has said that if there is a delay in the distribution of meals, the pilgrims would be compensated.

– According to the ministry, the breakfast service on Arafat begins after the dawn (fajr) prayer and continues until 10:00 AM in the morning. The lunch service starts at 1:30 PM and continues until 3:30 PM. Dinner at Muzdalifah will be served right after the pilgrims arrive from Arafat.

– Food service on Tarwiyah (Dhul Hijjah 8) and Tashreeq (Dhul Hijjah 11, 12, and 13) will be provided according to the following schedule, as per the ministry, breakfast from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, lunch from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and dinner from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

Meals delay compensation for Hajj 2024 domestic pilgrims set by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah :

– According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, if restaurants fail to provide pilgrims their meals by the hours they had previously announced, pilgrims would get meals delay compensation. If the agreed-upon corrective time be exceeded the compensation amount can be multiplied by two from the projected value. – In the case of a lunch delay on Arafat day, the pilgrim will receive 5% of the total package value as compensation. In the case of a meal delay at Muzdalifah, the pilgrim will receive 3% of the package value, up to 100 riyals. In the case of a lunch delay on Eid al-Adha (Dhul Hijjah 10), the pilgrim will receive 3% of the package value, up to 300 riyals. For all other meals, the pilgrim will be reimbursed 3% of the package value, up to 200 riyals.

– In addition, the ministry provided compensation in the case that meals cannot be served at the Makkah Holy Sites during the Hajj. The service provider is obligated to pay the following compensation.

– 5% of the total package value in the event of a lunch service delay on Arafat day, 5% of the package value (not to exceed 200 riyals) in the event of a meal delay at Muzdalifah, 5% of the package value (not to exceed 500 riyals) in the event of a lunch service failure on Eid Al-Adha and 3% of the package value (not to exceed 300 riyals) in the event of any other meal delay on other Hajj days.

– For the Arafat lunch, one percent of the total package value is required. For the Muzdalifah meal, one percent of the package value is required. For the delay in serving lunch on the 10th Dhul Hijjah, one percent of the package value is required. For the rest of the meals on other Hajj days, one percent of the package value, not to exceed 50 riyals, is required.
