NEOM Titan Desert Bike Race attracts 242 cyclists from 24 nations

With 242 cyclists from 24 different countries taking part, this race is truly a world-class athletic event.
Over the course of four difficult stages, Luis Leon Sanchez and Tessa Courtkas triumphed in Neom’s harsh desert environment.
As a first, the last stage of the race went through the NEOM Nature Reserve, providing riders with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride through expansive natural areas that are home to a wide range of animals.
Professional cyclists from around the world competed in the race. Among them were 12 world champions and 12 Tour de France stage winners from Slovakia and Italy, respectively, as well as Daniele Oss, who had competed in 16 global races. In a show of support for local talent, NEOM has teamed up with the Saudi Cycling Federation to provide 20 Saudi racers with the chance to compete against top international teams. The young Saudi rider Marwaj Adel was a member of the “Live AlUla Jaco Ladies” Australian squad for the NEOM Beach Games Championship for the second year running.
According to Jan Patterson, Head of Sports at NEOM, “we are cementing our position as a leading destination for global sports, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030,” by hosting famous events like the NEOM Titan Desert Race.

With 242 cyclists from around the globe competing through the one-of-a-kind desert terrain and relishing in the luxurious amenities provided by Titan Mountain Camp, this edition was truly remarkable.
Everyone who managed to finish the race is, without a doubt, a champion. “I want to extend my congratulations to everyone who took part, and I definitely want to be a part of this again,” Garcia added.
