During his official visit to Pakistan as part of a high-level delegation, Prince Faisal spoke at a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar. He asked everyone to put de-escalation first.

– A halt was called for right away in the Gaza Strip by Prince Faisal and Dar. Both leaders said they were sorry that the international community was unable to enforce the ceasefire in Gaza, but they also wanted it to happen right away so that a humanitarian passage could be opened and the humanitarian crisis that was about to happen could be stopped.

– Prince Faisal said that there needs to be a pause in the Gaza Strip, which has been under siege for months because of the Israeli war. He said that all the efforts made by the international community to end the fighting in Gaza have been completely ineffective. He said that more efforts to be done to help the Palestinians in Gaza who are suffering and that there needs to be a quick end to the conflict.

– Prince Faisal urged that the killings and suffering of the people in Gaza must stop right away. He said, “There is no need for further conflict” and that “de-escalation should be everyone’s priority.” This was because the Palestinians were already living in an unstable area that was causing a disaster in Gaza. – Prince Faisal said that over 33,000 people had died in Gaza so far. “They are now facing a famine-like situation and are going to die of hunger because international aid is not getting in.” “The international community has failed completely,” he said.

– The Saudi minister said that the situation was unacceptable and that there was no reason for it to happen. In fact, he said, the two UN resolutions calling for an immediate end to the fighting in Gaza had not been carried out. He felt bad that efforts were made after six Western aid workers were killed but not after 33,000 Palestinians died, which showed that there were different rules for each group.

– Dar said that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia felt the same way about Gaza and asked the rest of the world to help stop the slaughter. “The world’s moral needs to wake up and call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire so that aid can get through without any problems.” He also said, “More Palestinians should not die of hunger,” and he called for an international investigation into the crimes against humanity that were happening in Gaza.

– It was pointed out again by Prince Faisal and Dar that the strong relationship between the two countries needs to be strengthened and turned into a strategic partnership. They also agreed to work together on economic issues so that both countries could benefit. Prince Faisal said that his talks with the leaders of Pakistan were very useful. – He talked about how important it was for the two countries to have a strategic relationship and promised to work to make investments stronger. “The Saudi group was impressed by how proactive and business-oriented the Pakistani side was.” Pakistan had a lot of good investment options, and they said that their trip was “very positive from their point of view,” which would set the stage for future business.

– The Saudi minister also said that Pakistan had a lot of hidden potential that should be used. “With our historic two-way cooperation, we should continue to work together closely for economic progress and regional security,” he said. Join Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
