Gulf-US Summit: Crown Prince discusses regional and International issues

When discussing security relations, Prince Mohammed bin Salman brought up the 2017 GCC-US meeting, wherein the leaders of the GCC nations stressed the need to fight terrorism and dissolve its organizations while also boosting the security of GCC nations and safeguarding their interests. The summit also underscored the importance of GCC nations enhancing their security, defense, and military capabilities to confront regional and global threats. As part of his statement, the Crown Prince addressed the strategic and commercial partnership with the US, highlighting the importance of the US as a trade and economic partner for the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The United States’ trade volume with the GCC nations hit approximately $120 billion in 2024, showing how strong and effective this trading partnership is. He stressed the significance of ongoing collaboration to expand economic cooperation and explore fresh possibilities in different areas to accomplish shared goals.

Supporting regional peace: the Palestinian issue and the wars in Gaza and Sudan:

The Crown Prince confirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for international efforts to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in line with the Arab Peace Initiative and other relevant international resolutions, and he pointed out the critical need for a lasting resolution to the conflict.

He went on to say that the kingdom would support any initiative to end the conflict in Gaza and establish a lasting peace deal that protects Palestinian rights while also ending the violence in the area.

Concerning the situation in Sudan, the Crown Prince conveyed the support of the Kingdom for initiatives to resolve the crisis through the Jeddah Forum, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabia and the United States, in the hopes of achieving a total ceasefire of conflicts.

Political Solutions to Regional Wars: Encouraging Dialogue in Yemen and Syria:

The involvement of the Kingdom in peacekeeping operations in Yemen has been reiterated by the Crown Prince, who also highlighted the Kingdom’s support for talks between the various Yemeni factions to achieve a thorough political settlement.
