“Growing. Together” is the official campaign slogan, and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has given his entire support to it. The bid book details the huge infrastructure projects and plans of Saudi Arabia, which mirror the Kingdom’s revolutionary transformation. It goes on to explain how the kingdom plans to host the FIFA World Cup, a major sporting event on a global scale.

In the bid book, Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, and NEOM (a major future urban project in the Kingdom) are included as the 5 potential locations for the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Fifteen modern stadiums, including 11 brand new ones, will be located in each of the five host towns. The new King Salman Stadium, one of 8 stadiums in Riyadh, will hold the opening and closing matches and have seating for more than 92,000 people.

In addition, Riyadh’s Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium will have a modern architecture, triple-tiered stands, and a breathtaking view of one of the Tuwaiq cliffs. Riyadh’s King Fahad Sports City Stadium can hold more than 70,000 fans, after its renewal.

The coastal King Abdullah Sports City Stadium will take design cues from the Red Sea’s coral reefs, while Jeddah’s new Central Development Stadium will pay homage to the city’s rich history. Taking design cues from the water, the Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar will be located on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. To accommodate more than 45,000 people for the competition, King Khalid University Stadium will temporarily expand in Abha. An unparalleled experience will be offered by NEOM Stadium, located within THE LINE project, which is powered solely by renewable energy. Most Viewed : 6 types of Leaves and Holidays in Saudi Arabia

Ten more sites for training camps are part of the hosting plan, which takes advantage of the varied landscape of the Kingdom. Across all five host cities, Saudi Arabia will have more than 230,000 rooms, which is more than enough to meet FIFA’s requirements. Included in the proposed network of 132 training locations spread across 15 cities are 72 stadiums that would serve as Base Camp Training Sites.

With one location chosen by FIFA for each host city, the bid book presents ten potential locations for the FIFA Fan Festival. Some of the places where it takes place are Riyadh’s King Salman Park, Jeddah’s Waterfront, Abha’s Al Bihar plaza, NEOM’s THE LINE marina, and Al Khobar’s King Abdullah Park.

President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal thanked the Leadership for their consistent backing of the Kingdom’s sports sector and the Crown Prince for his ongoing direction and encouragement of Saudi Arabia’s bid for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

“We are all committed to fulfilling Saudi Arabia’s vision of hosting the FIFA World Cup, as stated in our official bid book,” Prince Abdulaziz stated. As the first nation to organize a 48-team tournament in one country, Saudi Arabia is determined to capitalize on its rich football legacy and passion for the game. Our plans will make sure that this historic feat is accomplished. Most Viewed : New Railway line between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait soon
