Saudi Arabia issues Saudi Vision 2030 annual report

Drawing on a wide set of key performance indicators (KPIs) linked to Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives, the report provides a thorough evaluation of the achievements recorded over the past years.
Nearly all of the key performance indicators (KPIs) for national strategies and programs aligned with Vision 2030 have been met or are on track to meet their interim goals, with 93% of them having done so.
Even more impressive is that 674 of the 1,502 initiatives started under the Vision were finished, with 85% of those initiatives being either finished or on track by the end of 2024.
Speaking about the kingdom’s accomplishments, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz said, “We take great pride in the achievements our nation has realized in less than a decade, transforming Saudi Arabia into a global model of change across all levels.” Read: Jawazat clarifies on Multiple exit visa
In his speech, King Salman reaffirmed the kingdom’s plans for the future, stating, “We remain committed to continuing the journey of building sustainable development for generations to come, striving for even greater growth and prosperity in the years ahead.”
Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman echoed these sentiments, praising the progress made by the country and highlighting the strength and commitment of Saudi citizens.
We are proud of our children’s accomplishments as we celebrate the ninth year of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. They have demonstrated that obstacles cannot match their ambitions. We have not only achieved but surpassed all of our objectives, and we intend to keep making steady progress toward our 2030 targets.
“We renew our commitment to doubling efforts, speeding execution, seizing every opportunity, and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a leading nation on the global stage,” the Crown Prince stated, reiterating the leadership’s dedication to the Kingdom’s global ambitions.

Some of these goals include having Saudi cultural sites added to the World Heritage List by UNESCO, achieving a historically low national unemployment rate, and increasing the percentage of women in the labor force, which reached 33.5% and exceeded the 30% target set by Saudi Vision 2030.
Other major advancements include an increase in the number of volunteers in the Kingdom, which will exceed 1.2 million by the end of 2024, as well as the development of more than 571 regional offices for global corporations.
Tourist arrivals to the kingdom also surged, surpassing the aim of 100 million visitors well before 2030. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia made substantial progress in the international digital governance rankings, achieving seventh place in the United Nations’ E-Participation Index and sixth place in the UN E-Government Development Index.
Additionally, the report noted that 24 indicators have surpassed their 2024 interim targets. These indicators reflect improvements in healthcare service quality, growth in private sector contributions to GDP, rising home ownership rates in Saudi Arabia, and the expansion of assets managed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). Five other indicators, including foreign direct investment and the number of Saudi universities ranked among the world’s top 200, have met their interim targets.
Several important metrics, including non-oil GDP growth, local content contribution, and Saudi Arabia’s position on the World Happiness Index, are performing at or near full potential, ranging from 85 to 99 percent.
Environmental performance, the percentage of non-oil exports to GDP, and the number of Saudi cities ranked among the top 100 livable cities worldwide were all openly recognized as indicators that have not yet achieved their targets in the report.
