Reasons behind Travel ban in Saudi Arabia :

1. Unpaid Debt : The travel restriction resulting from unpaid debt is one of the most regular types in Saudi Arabia. If a person has unpaid debts or has been ordered by a court to pay a debt, the government may place a travel ban on them.

– Individuals are prohibited from leaving the Kingdom until their debts are paid in full under this travel ban. It is significant to remember that both Saudi citizens and resident expats may be subject to the travel ban issued by Saudi Arabia because of outstanding debt.

2. Criminal Record : Expatriates having a criminal history are susceptible to deportation from Saudi Arabia. This is relevant to a variety of crimes, such as robbery, theft, embezzlement, and others. The Saudi Arabian government, regardless of a person’s nationality or citizenship status, may act quickly against those who break the law and takes a hard position against criminal conduct.

3. Residency Rules : If an expatriate is discovered for the third time without an Iqama (residence permit) or they have Huroob (Absent From Work) status, they may be subject to deportation. Expats should be careful to apply for and renew their residency permits on schedule to prevent any concerns with Iqama compliance. Additionally, they should always carry a physical or digital copy of their Iqama with them, which acts as identification of their rightful status as residents of Saudi Arabia. 4. Overstaying : Those individuals who continues to stay in the Kingdom, even after their iqama expiry or visa expiry can face deportation.

5. Trading Visa or Forgery Documents : If an expat is involved in trading visas or had fake documents or incorrect information they may be deported from the Kingdom.

6. Contagious Diseases : Any foreign national with a contagious or infectious disease like HIV, AIDS or HEPA may be deported.

7. Immoral Activities : Deportation proceedings may also be brought against foreign nationals who participate in immoral behavior, such as prostitution, adultery, or sex solicitation.

8. Liquor Offenses : Deportation is a possibility if alcohol or liquor is manufactured or sold. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Reddit

9. Saudi Arabia also imposes travel restrictions because of legal problems : People who are involved in a court dispute or who have been found guilty of a crime are subject to this kind of travel restriction. These people are not allowed to leave the country until the legal difficulties are settled due to the travel ban. The restriction may also be placed on people who are desired by the law to be questioned or who are subject to pending warrants.

10. Labor Disputes : The Saudi government has the authority to impose travel restrictions on anyone who are engaged in labor disputes with their employers. These people aren’t allowed to leave the country until the labor issue is settled due to to the travel ban. Both Saudi nationals and resident expats are subject to this ban.

11. Immigration issues : Travel restrictions may be imposed by the Saudi government on people who have broken the rules or laws governing immigration. These people are not permitted to leave the country until their immigration problems are settled by this kind of travel ban. It may also be levied on people who entered the country illegally or overstayed their visas. Subscribe to Saudi Expatriates on YouTube channel
