MOFA launches issuing Stop-over Saudi Transit Visa for Visit for those arriving by Air

 

Saudi Arabia has launched the service of issuing transit visa online for the arrivals in the Kingdom by air, for all purposes, starting from Today (30th January 2023).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Saudi Arabia, in coordination with the relevant authorities and in cooperation with the national airlines, has launched the electronic service of issuing stop-over Saudi transit visa for those coming by air. – The stop-over transit visa holders can stay in Saudi Arabia for a period of 4 days, while the validity of the visa is for 3 months. The new transit visa of Saudi Arabia is free of cost and it will be issued instantly along with the flight ticket.

– This visa allows those passing by through the country and those wishing to enter into the Kingdom to perform Umrah in Makkah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, and want to move around, in addition to attending tourism events.

– The Ministry clarified that the launch of the service is from Today, by applying for a transit visa for a visit by air through online platforms of Saudi Airlines and Flynas. This visa is to be passed automatically to the Unified National Visa Platform in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to process and issue the online visa immediately, and send it to the traveler through e-mail. – The Ministry confirmed that the digital transit visa service will contribute in achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, by strengthening the Kingdom’s position and benefiting from its well-known strategic location as a hub linking various continents and a station that attracts transients and a global tourist destination.

– The MOFA highlighted that the transit visa for the visit will be issued online for free immediately with a national airline travel ticket, with a visa validity of three months and with a stay period of four days.

– Passengers of Saudi Airlines (Saudia) and Flynas flights will be able to electronically obtain a transit visa for a “air” visit for entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, beginning from Monday, January 30, 2023, for a period of four days with a three-month visa validity and according to the terms and conditions set forth by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. – Once tickets are issued on Saudia and Flynas flights, travelers will be able to apply for a transit visa via its official websites, by passing it automatically to the unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to process and issue the digital visa instantly and send it to the beneficiary via E-mail.
